How do we book you for our destination wedding?The booking process begins with a heart-to-heart consultation (in person or virtual) to discuss your vision, destination, and photography needs. Once we determine we're a good fit, a 50% non-refundable retainer and signed contract will secure your date. The remaining balance is typically due 30 days before the wedding date. We'll then begin our collaborative planning process to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Do you scout the location before the wedding day?Yes! We arrive at your destination at least 1-2 days before your wedding to scout key photography locations, assess lighting conditions at different times of day, and identify unique spots that will make your photos truly special. This pre-wedding exploration allows us to create a custom shot list tailored to your specific venue and surroundings.

What destinations do you cover?We photograph destination weddings worldwide! Whether you're dreaming of a beach ceremony in the Caribbean, a romantic European setting, or an exotic location in Asia, we're ready to travel and capture your special day. We even offer special incentives for destinations on our "I want to go" list – just ask for current locations!

What are your destination wedding photography rates?Our destination wedding packages start with our Collection Three ($3,800) as the base, which includes 10 hours of coverage, a beautiful wedding book, and a $150 credit for add-ons. For destination weddings, we add hotel accommodations with a minimum number of nights based on the specific destination. Locations on our "I want to go" list receive a special discount – contact us for current preferred destinations!

Are travel expenses included in your pricing?Basic travel expenses are NOT built into our destination wedding packages. This addition to the overall cost typically includes airfare and hotel accommodations for a minimum number of nights based on the destination. Additional expenses such as rental cars, extended stays, or special transportation needs may be quoted separately if applicable. We're transparent about all costs upfront so there are no surprises.

If your wedding location is on our current list, you'll receive a special discount on your package. This is our way of combining our passion for travel photography with your special day. How far in advance should we book you for a destination wedding?We recommend booking at least 12-18 months in advance for destination weddings. This allows ample time for travel planning, coordination with your other vendors, and securing the best possible travel arrangements. Popular wedding dates and destinations can book up quickly, so earlier is always better!

What happens if you miss your flight or encounter travel problems?We take extensive precautions to prevent travel issues, including arriving 1-2 days early to account for potential delays. We also maintain relationships with photographer networks in popular destination areas as an emergency backup. In the extremely rare event of an unavoidable travel emergency, we have contingency plans in place, including sending a qualified associate photographer or working with a vetted local professional. Your wedding memories are too important to leave to chance.

How do you coordinate with our destination wedding planner?We work closely with your wedding planner to ensure seamless integration with your wedding day timeline. After booking, we'll schedule a joint planning call to discuss logistics, must-have photo opportunities, and location-specific considerations. We'll also share our arrival information and scouting schedule with your planner to facilitate any necessary venue access or special arrangements.

What if we need to reschedule our destination wedding?We understand that circumstances sometimes change, especially with destination weddings. If you need to reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible. Rescheduling fees may apply depending on how far in advance we're notified and whether we've already incurred non-refundable travel expenses. We'll always work with you to find the most reasonable solution for your situation.

How do you handle equipment for international weddings?We travel with complete professional camera systems including multiple camera bodies, a variety of lenses, lighting equipment, and all necessary accessories. Our equipment is always carried on, never checked, to ensure it arrives safely. We're familiar with international travel requirements for professional photography equipment and take all necessary precautions to ensure a smooth entry process.
